What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Installed my new TRD shift knob last week and decided it didn’t quite look right against the silver console... So a can of Plastidip and 30 min of my time fixed that.

I like it much better... We’ll see how well the plastidip holds up. Figure I’ll peel it and hit it with some Fusion Satin next.

 

I had it installed at a car electronic store to make sure it was wired and put in properly. You will need this camera interface with the switch button:

And then any front parking camera will work. I got this one because it fits directly into the Toyota emblem:

I believe it will? You might want to contact the company because I think it depends on if you have the same dash system as the 2014-2019 Tacomas since it will use the same screen as the rear view camera

Update - just returned from a 4 day fly-fishing trip. This stuff is a dust magnet. Every piece of plastic that I treated had a layer of dust "stuck" to it.

Just sprayed them with weed killer.

Buffers are for the bullbar area, nothing to do with foglights. Don't know how those inserts work as my fogs are custom. Since my bumper was already getting sandblasted and re-powder coated I had them cut the back of the bullbar gusset to clear the grill and weld in a filler. Once I get my buffers from ARB Australia ( 3-6 month wait) it will fill the gap at the bottom and be seamless. Pretty much your only option is trim the grill or trim the gusset.

I did this, put sequential turn signal indicators in the mirrors and, LED turn signals on the outside of the mirrors.
