<$200 isn't bad either. Maybe I'll pick one up with my next paycheck. Just need to figure out what seatpost size to get. Anyone know what size the Medium Intense Tracer 275 is?

New models are 31.6 mm, but I can't find info for older models.

that whole idea “ stems” from simply being able to find your valve stem quicker. It originated with car and moto racing with pit prep etc

Haha yea man that video is so true!

My main ride right now is a SB150 -- I'll have the DJ this upcoming week and I've been eyeing some smaller travel bikes.. it's never ending! I am considering the Transition Smuggler (140/120) -- the SB150 is 170/150 so -30mm travel all around seems like it would be more playful.. or do I go for a SB100 (120/100mm) ughhhh. It's hard to mentally justifying having 2 bikes you could ride on the same trails.. haha.

This is new to me as well and will continue to fuck with my OCD the rest of my riding "career".

My buddy came over with his compressor the other day to help me pop on some new tires.. I never knew about this either until he was like "Dude you gotta line up your presta valve in the middle of 'MAXXIS'."

Go for the 100. The 120 is way too close to the 150.

Yeah, well... That freakin “maxxis” isn’t printed the same on both sides. So if one side is perfect, the other side is off.
    Yeah, I know...

Thats my thought too.. I definitely will demo a Smuggler just to see.

I demo'd the shit out of the SB130 and SB150 before I went with the 150.. they're pretty similar, but only 20mm of travel difference and I could tell the 130 was a better climber and more poppier whereas the 150 just plows and still climbs extremely well.

I gotta do some research on the SB100.. I wonder if people are running it as 130/110? However, it would a lot easier to pick which bike I bring where lol.

I have a longer hitch stinger on, a few inches longer than normal. I can lower the tailgate but it's close, and it would hit the jack first if not. If it clears your jack now you should be good with it, the posts for the rack sit a little behind the jack for me.

All joking aside, it is pretty comical how factual some parts of this vid are.

Haha I hear ya. Trek isn’t the coolest, but they make a solid product. And having one of their shop 3 miles from my house factors in.

    How’s Europe?!?

Ha I guess that makes sense during a race? Never been that pressed for time when I pop a tube...just get off trail and start the process.

I would have given my buddy some daps thinking it was a funny joke if I was told that on trail.

Serious question...did you line them up?

Which would work, in the super strange scenario you need to air up by the time some dude counts to 3. BUT. I’ve never used casing logos to reference my valve. So it would be a lost cause for me. Plus, there’s already a white reference stripe burned into my rim in order to help me expedite my air fill. The problem I see is that I have the reference stripe/valve, plus the spank logo, and no matter where I put the casing logo is just dumb all the way around. As it stands, I just look for the valve stem. Cut out the middle man (reference points) and just find the damn thing. Which has never been an issue lol
