Is that BTF for 2WD?? After spending over 5 hours putting my front shocks back in yesterday I'm looking for a better solution to the upper TC shock mount. With all the tweaking and welding over the years the bolt holes don't line up into the billet shock mount. The BTF upper shock mount looks simple but it looks like the bolt can only be under the plate thus making the shock shorter. For TC 4wd application the billet mount flips and the bolt needs to be above the plate. I'm looking for solutions because the next time the front shocks come off I'm putting it together different, not sure how, but it won't be the same.

Yes, the kit I got is for 2WD but I know he makes 4WD applications aswell. You might be able to buy just the shock mounts so you can replace the TC ones. Hit him up. Super cool guy.

Did you even look at the product and read the description before you decided you were going to buy it? It wraps around the factory tabs and reinforces them...

They are built into this kit, if you have TC already, you have to grind them down 1/4 inch and then this installs over them. This is everything you need for the lca is my understanding

I like the idea and made similar back in the day. I put myself on the list and will cut off in lieu of the larger 1/4" plate. Good idea, good design.

Sorry man, I'm not usually that harsh but the entire purpose of the product is literally to reinforce the cam tabs and LCA mounting. Tons of pictures in the article showing the factory tabs, tons of dialogue talking about how the kit can be installed very easily without cutting, grinding, removing, etc.

I like attempt with this statement but it is very disturbing if you think about the context.

Why’s her mouth full when she’s talking to her son?

I would still get gussets in some capacity. I know a guy who bashed up one of his LCA cam tabs to the point where until he got the gussets, he couldnt maintain an alignment. This helps prevent that from taking place on trail although nothing is ever guaranteed.

If you're that deep I would just make the horizontal plates.

For sure. That’s what I was thinking

I had seen someone in here post something similar a couple years back and told myself I’d do that as a preventative upgrade when I did the Cam tab gussets but totally spaced on it when the time came

Right now i have the Solo UCA gusset and motor mounts ready to go on and to me it seemed that made the LCA the weakest link. This kit or whatever you want to call it seems to be just as much about reinforcing the mounting location while also wrapping around gusseting cam tabs. Better safe then sorry and buy once and all that stuff
