    They had problems with the first batch of I want to say either gummy worm or watermelon sours. Can’t remember. I opened it for fun thinking it was going down the sink and sure enough it drank fine.

    It is a "share" thing. Done for good luck/fortune. Traditionally brewers do it for the first tapping, partiers too!
    To drink, you hold it "toe" up. Of course there comes a moment when the contents are lower and the air equalizes and the beer rushes from that area. Good times!
    Of course, 1 litre is really small... personal boots?
