    MASS Series is racing at Anderson Speedway (SC) this Friday night. Stock chassis, 4-point cages, '70s and '80s street cars with modern racing tech, painted like '70s and '80s NASCAR racers. I'm thinking about going. Mini-stocks, FWD, winged cars, Legends also racing:

    Anderson isn't on the schedule this year :(

    MASS Series was good. Awesome to see cars from my childhood painted like race cars from my childhood banging fenders on a bullring. I love that they run Hoosier bias ply tires. This is probably the closest to old school '80s stock car racing we'll ever see. I talked with the driver of #3 prior to the race. Nicest guy in the world. They'd just hung a new body on the car after he ripped the right side off at Richmond. He said the only original part of the car was the roof :rofl: They were going to take it to the paint booth after this swing of races and throw some new Goodwrench decals on it. I asked where he manages to find rear bubble glass since he runs as a Monte Carlo Aerocoupe. He said his buddy fabs it up in the shop. He let me put my hands all over that car. I should've taken more closeups of the car because the fresh primered body was a work of art.

    I just tuned into Pocono. What'd I miss? I heard some drivers feared it would be super boring with the new package.

    It WAS super boring. Kyle took the lead early and proceeded to drive off with an easy win.
    :tumbleweed::ohsnap:

    I got so excited after the all star race and have been nothing but let down since.

    Something to the effect of no passing and then they continued to push it and he told the reporters no more package questions

    I'm glad Kyle told reporters to drop it. It's as if they come to the track with a checklist and #1 is always "negative quote from Kyle."

    Race reporters are just like the news media, always trying to stir shit up, just to get both sides pissed at each other. This world revolves around drama. Fucking ridiculous.

    Michigan is this weekend. 100th race at MIS. Ford has historically dominated here, but Chevy has come on strong in recent years. I'd put my money on SHR but it seems like the rest of the field is catching up with them.

    Chevy picks: If Kyle Larson can keep his head on, I suspect he'll be a contender. Bill Elliott won here thirty years ago. Will Chase follow in his footsteps? Bowman has been hot. Will we see a first-time winner?
    Toyota picks: You can never rule out Kyle Busch, though MIS is not one of his good tracks. Hamlin is a multi-time winner here.
    Ford picks: Suarez has had some strong runs. Again, possibly a first-time winner this weekend.

    Others: Besides Larson and Hamlin, Kurt Busch, Joey Logano, and Kevin Harvick are the only other active repeat-winners in the field. None of these guys are slouches, so they'll be up front, for sure.

    A few additions to make me feel cool.
    Well now we know those three don't stand a chance! LOL...

    I suspect whoever wins this week with be in Penski equipment.
