I read about the voltage upgrade while i was geeking out om AGMs.

In that thread there's a reference to jimmying some sensor to get the alt to output mas volts for the health of the battery. I totally bet it works.

Well shit, never heard of the voltage booster mod before. I've been running my AGM without one for a while now. Guess I'll have to add it to my to-do list...

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
    Question for the group.

Decided I need to invest in a chainsaw for some of my back country excursions.

How does one go about being legal eagle when cutting trees for trail clearing. Not looking to cut firewood, just cut to clear trail (if needed) and leave it lay.

I know this dump of a State has some dumb permit I need and I probably have to watch a video about bark beetles or some dumbshittary.

What are some must see destinations in the kings canyon / sequoia NP area?

I can ask some of my friends who are arborists. I would hope you don't need anything to cut and leave. Who owns the land? I'll get back to you once I hear back from them.

Up where I'm at we don't have rules for opening a road or trail that's blocked by down trees. What should be is that if under a red flag warning there is no operation of tracked equipment and chainsaws. Usually not pertaining to roads and landings unless local enforcement for fire protection has a law or rule. Most forest circus trails and roads nobody will do anything if it's clearing the right of way. This is under maintenance of public domain and removal of hazards to the public. I used to have a set of books on all this but we know where they went.
Always carry an axe and shovel as fire tools while in the woods or woodland areas. Just good sense is best. You'll be fine.
