Aren't most bullshit stories posted on the interwebs plausible?

And didn't one of the TW mods comment that this guy wrote

By far the most accurate review of a 3rd gen to date. (Hoping that was a joke)

Because the only correspondence he put on the website was an edited e-mail between him and the dealer. No service tickets, no full e-mails, and no other evidence of what the dealer told him other than part of an e-mail. I feel as though he's leaving a few details out...

    UPDATE

Well, as expected Toyota is covering their ass. Here is the reply #2 (after I provided links with competitor information who have available data on the official websites) when I asked about wading depth from Toyota Canada.

So basically stop driving when it rains, there is more than 1mm of water on the road and don’t even think about driving in snow! /s

I am pushing it further and asking to speak with somebody who knows (because service dep - don’t), so let’s see how they dodge that bullet lol

in case your VIN appears for any warranty work in the future that we can gladly deny because you asked us questions

I already had over 4 different warranty works from as little as replacing head unit to a complete replacement of steering rack and pressing out axle shafts.

Alright, our "point man" is going further into the jungle.

Lol I'll put an inquiry through my dealer then jump on the bandwagon through customer service. I'll ask the dealer to inquire for "guidance" . Then I'll open a ticket with corporate.

Oh I know it's petty but I don't like them having "an open f$ck ticket" to avoid possible design issues for normal operating conditions.

I ford a stream, I'm on my own I accept that. I go though a real deep puddle on the road too fast and flood out the truck, I'll be pissed but can accept that.

I drive home in the rain and I have a bad seal on some connector or computer on the underside and a end up with a couple grand out of pocket on a new truck still under warranty and the dealer refers to the manual and says "see you can't drive in a heavy rain, so it will cost you $3500".

I don't trust dealers or automakers to have "common sense" when it's in their best monetary interest to not have it.

It's obvious IMHO Toyota did not do proper spray cabinet testing on this platform, how do I know that, the Issue with the TSS and water getting in, it's obvious and common sense that things in front will get wet.

All I see is 1 photo of the truck in water, let's see the video where he went deeper and hydrolocked it.

My 2017 got a prolonged spray cabinet test. Best Tacoma ever built. Hands down!

After they built my truck, they stopped caring.

Yeah seems that the 17's are the best.

Don't need to put a maxipad on our trucks so they don't panic and keep yelling for the brakes. We have a perfectly good passenger seat for that.

We've had nothing but heavy rain here for months. Pretty thorough spray testing here too.

Plus we have potholes here that can easily be designated as fording. LOL

2 main roads is this city have #5 and #6 spots for worst in our province (normally number 1 )
