What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Went from matte black plastic dip to gloss black painted wheels, used
dal3_gribble's step by step painting his wheels post as a reference! Mine don't look as nice as his, but I'm happy with them!

 

yeah, close to me too. it seems i gotta pay or piecemeal a set from ebay, which probably ends up with getting them sandblasted and it ends up costing the same. thx

 

That's the exact thought process I went through. The local breakers had a set for $100/ea, but even in "A" condition, I'd be shocked if they didn't need some work. I'm still grumpy I messed up in one spot for mine, but realistically they're going to be winter wheels and when the wheel is upright it's invisible from five feet.

Yeah, it's safe on anything, plastic, rubber, fiberglass, vinyl, leather

 

Where did you get the 4x4 emblem? Was thinking the same.

 

Just the front. I suggest spending a bit more and get the ceramic tint though. It is cell phone friendly.

 

Installed a weighted shift rod with a rubber chair leg end with a little custom emblem.

 

Just installed @MESO stage 1 led tail light kit. They are super bright and the switch back blinker/reverse lights are awesome.

Easy install?

 

Super easy, all plug and play. Took me 15 minutes for both sides including removing the tails.

 

Got my order from Super Bright LEDs today. Might have to wait till the weekend to change the interior lights

Installed a curt tow hitch I bought for 130 shipped. *to hawaii. Home Depot online, did a couple jobs which paid for the hitch and then some.

What do you mean by cell phone friendly?

 

I just did the front and tried to match the back without going to dark

 

What % tint did you go with?

 

I do not, I find that it gets in the way if anything. But my wife who is a slender 5-3 and my 3 & 6 year olds all love it. I personally prefer the look of a side step / hoop step to the nerf bar or running board and I don’t do much off roading so that’s the route I went.
