When I start the engine, the TPMS light blinks for a while (30 seconds or so) then stays on solid.

    Here's what I've tried:
    1. Checked all pressures including spare - all set to numbers on door sticker
    2. Pressed reset button until the light blinked 3 times. When I do this the same thing happens, it blinks for a while (30 seconds or so) then stays on solid.
    3. Took it to Disco Tire, they used their scan tool to check all sensors, all were good.
    4. They also plugged the scan tool into the port and tried to communicate with the sensor system.
    5. Disconnected the battery, waited a minute and reconnected.
    Any other ideas?

Could one of your sensors be dead??? one of mine is and I’m waiting to get new tires before I replace my sensors. Light has been on for close to a year. Hahahahaha

They tried their scanner at Discount - all the sensors fired back and gave good readings. Two guys tried it a couple of times.

(Also, I just filled in the rest of my post with details...)

Did they plug the dongle into the truck and have the scanner communicate or did they just do a quick free reading?

They plugged the dongle in. I have to say, they really gave it a try - messed around with it for about 20 minutes and I didn't even buy the tires there.

had a similar issue with not getting readings from the TPMS sensors. ended up at the dealer for some unrelated work and they said the module in the truck was bad. for some $300 I'll just let my little light shine. I'm up and down on the pressures anyways from the trails, they get checked often.

I went to another Discount Tire today, they said 4 of the 5 sensors were bad. I paid the $280 to get them replaced just to get it over with and get the truck sold. Funny how the first Disco Tire couldn't figure it out, but there ya have it. They balanced the tires for free and gave me a free used spare because the one in there was 12 years old.

Thanks to everyone who posted up with input and suggestions.

Had the same issue on mine for days after a flat. Kept trying to reset it and almost gave up but kept at it. Seemed to be some sort of voodoo magic to make it reset. Something like turn on truck, press till blinks slowly 3 times. Turn off truck.
Or something similar to that. Keep trying you may get it.
