1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

There was one single paper towel that fell the other direction into the supercharger and gummed up the rotors. If that one hero paper towel didn't jam up the rotors and cause me to remove the SC, all those towels would've gotten sucked into the engine if I got it to run.

 

Damn, that's quite a bit. I'm surprised that much got sucked through a valve. Hopefully the valves didn't close on any of it. Best of luck to you! I'd be cussing non stop!

Won’t hurt it. The cam hits the bucket. Not a rocker that can bend the valve. He should be fine

Oh the valves did close on it, that's how some of the towels got so broken apart. Luckily they were so soaked in fuel they were pliable enough to not cause any damage, as it appears.

 

Not saying that it will bend anything, wonder if it pinched any & there's more that he can't see. Did he take off the entire intake side?

 

Rotors are totally fine, I ran it on my drill for about 5 minutes and it spun happily.

Because it's totally reminding me of that scene with the gears and the ship door getting jammed allowing people to enter.

 

Didn't someone put an exhaust from a 3rd gen on a 1st gen here?

Paper towels are excellent for cleaning, just not cleaning inside your ignition chamber.

 

Should of used strips of Wypalls, they won't tear apart.

Haha, I have no idea why I bought it but it was New Years 25% off and I felt like buying something. A TIG welder is on my list to buy. I do have a crap Lincoln flux core welder that some one gave me. It's still brand new, I only tested it once to see if it works & shoved it in the corner.

 

Haha yeah I saw that movie when it first came out in 2011(?) and haven't given it a 2nd thought until just now...but I do remember that scene.

Not one of John Cusak's memorable movies that's for sure

 

It's one of those cheap HF tables. I'll probably just use it as a portable work table.
