I think you’re gonna need more water for 1000!

Home improvement, used the truck for truck stuff. Hauled home a picnic table kit and put it together after the kids were in bed.

I’m sure you’ll share lots of memories sitting at that picnic table.

By the way, what hitch do you have on your Tacoma?

5.71 installed. Took awhile to receive the pumpkin, as 5.71 nitros I guess are not made anymore, and ECGS had to special order from another vendor.

Love the truck a lot more than before, no more sport mode 5, or ECT needed. This is a must for the 4-cyl auto with anything over a 31” tire.

Congrats! So you had to change over to the 8"?
Definitely update us with some mpg data after everything's broken in!

Washed my truck by hand for the first time today. Sad it took me over a year...

Noticed some nice rock chips on both leading wheel arches :( added some front mud flaps so hopefully that slows it down.

Since it’s clean I stuck on my new tailgate letters too.

And now back to work, hauling water for the garden at home. We are on a 2500gal holding tank, no well or municipal water, at home so it’s always better to fill up at someone else’s house!

End of the road! My job takes me to interesting places sometimes, and this is one of them. One of my accounts got me a pass to drive the Denali Park Road, which is normally closes to public traffic from mile 15 to the end, all the way back to Kantishna for a staff training.

Cloudy and raining unfortunately, so I wasn’t able to see Denali this trip.

I like your truck! :woot: What other work have you done to it besides tires; fogs; mud flaps and rear lettering (I didn't read the entire thread :crapstorm:)?

Exterior, that's everything. I've also added an 8" sub, kicker Key amp, and new door speakers with sound deadening. 1-2" lift and bigger tires are in the cards when these tires wear out, and I have Hella 700's to mount to the light bar when I get some time. No rush since theres no dark in Alaska until September. :)

Four bolts, two on each bumper attachment, and two additional screws in to the stock aluminum crash bar. It's extremely stable.

I installed the RCI front skid plate today. What a difference over the OEM skid plate, if you can even call it that. IMG_2745.jpg IMG_2747.jpg

Looks good. Installed the same skid today. Impressed w quality. Not a true off-roader, but like it protects my fumoto. Back bolts w the bushings were tough to fully tighten just climbing under truck, but I didn’t want to wait until the weekend.

    Here in AK.
Long time lurker on the thread.
Just picked up an SR. First upgrade will be mk6 rims in matte gunmetal as I think that would match the magnetic gray metallic color. Majority of time will be spent on the pavement with some occasional light offroad exploring, tires that would be decent in the winter as well would be a huge plus, any recommendations?
I see there are a few guys from here in Alaska as well, the grill has some huge gaps, how has the mosquito and bug buildup on the radiator face been?
Also, any downside at all to removing the air dam? A tiny bit of wind noise shouldn’t be of any concern.
