    Wasn't directed at me BUT...

    Seminole Heights, Riverside Heights, Carrollwood, New Tampa, Citrus Park, and a few others are pretty good.

    Avoid Tampa Heights for sure, Ybor, and I'm drawing a blank as to some other "probably should avoid" neighborhoods.

    I'm in North Tampa, the Forest Hills area. I'm not an expert, but if it were me, I'd look for places north of Busch Blvd and west of Florida Ave. Temple Terrace is not a bad place to look either but it's probably a bit pricier (which is hard for me to imagine since I've been offered 186K for my house as is...and I'm actually considering it if I can at least break even because I really want a garage to work on my vehicles in).
