    Welcome to TW.
The thump you are hearing could be a body mount bushing. Mine under the radiator were worn and moved up and down quite a bit. I noticed it trying to remove the uca bolts.

Thought I’d seen this before and then I remembered seeing this girl:

That fad has come, gone and come back in the street bike arena too. To each, their own...

Aluminum is great for weight savings and corrosion prevention, but how does it stack up in recovery situations where you need the strength of steel at the recovery points?

I replaced my 12v outlet with a display/smart outlet one and debadged the truck/removed all stickers to the inside of the shell.

Broke in the garage today and removed two leafs per pack. While it was apart I cleaned every leaf, removed and regreased all leaf bushings, and used WD40 dry lube in between the leafs.

There was A LOT of dirt and grit and sand in the leafs, because of the fluid film. I’d only used it twice in there to quiet them down and it trapped a lot of stuff. Because of that I’ll never recommend that again, and to use a dry lube.

Before I had a hub to fender measurement of 28”....which is almost a 6” lift. I’m now at 25.5” so back to a 3” lift. Rear end rides a lot smoother and no more driveline vibes, unsurprisingly.

Fully metalcore welded everything but the outer lip. Sand blasted and tig welded that outer lip as it was close to the machined edge.

I understand why it looks different than mine now, you had them modify it. Gotcha!

Nice to see another person that has to drop the seat in order to haul their mtb around. Its kind of annoying without a dropper.

 agree with you on that one. roof mounts dont work well when you have to haul a bike in the city and fit in a car park structure
