Hecklefest for the Sundance stop of the Utah Gravity Series got pretty rowdy. Another well worth it moment for the T Rex suit!

Installed Tepui's new LowPro 3 tent and Yakima Frontloader bike rack. I had to hack the hell out of the Yakima's front mount to make it work with the 1.5" square 80/20 rails on the Mobtown rack, but it eventually worked out:

I think I'm truly ready for Pisgah now.

I’m so jealous... this bike is definitely on my radar. I came from BMX so I’ve been itching to get back on some Flowey trails

What mount system is that? I'm looking to do exactly that on my kb voodoo older rack.

The taco stayed home, just a quick trail ride around the house. First of the season, I’m damn rusty but had fun.

For sure, Trek is solid! And supporting the lbs is always a good move.

Been great so far. Got rained out yesterday and today. Poring, and the trails here get super sketch and muddy so I took a day off. Need to get some “work” done for a couple more days, planning the next ride area. There’s a super cool town in the Carpatians called Sinaia I’m planning on. There’s a bike park and some backcountry trails I want to scope.

Check every pic I’ve ever posted...

So I've run through the Chain of Command, and have been approved funds to purchase a dropper post, with a discretionary budget of ~$200.

Do you guys have recommendations? I've heard OneUp, and thats a strong contender. What others should I look at?

I currently have the KS Eten, which has worked for about 4 years, but looking for an upgrade.

    What's wrong with the KS?

I've had an older three-position Fox Transfer post on three bikes now and it refuses to quit. Pneumatic and indestructible. Not sure if you could find one under $200 though, the resell tends to be higher than even new posts

It's not staying up anymore. After about a minute of riding, it starts compressing, even though its locked.

A servicing is cheaper than a new post. For $200 you are just going to buy someone else's abused dropper post, in my experience at least

True, but the dropper is old at this point, and I'm thinking I'll end up needing to service it again in the near future. I think I'd rather upgrade to a new one, with more travel on it. The OneUp is on sale right now for $169, so I'm considering just ordering that one.

God I have got to get me one of these T Rex suits...

Dude if you want to buy brand new.... The SDG Tellis is pretty damn hard to beat, plus it comes with a great remote.

You can do what I did and go to pinkbike and buy a take off dropper. I got a Fox Factory (gold) transfer for $250. Unused. It replaced my SDG Tellis, not because there was anythign wrong with the tellis, it was just gold.

The Eten was KS’s entry level dropper. I think you’re better off going new, especially if you can go longer. I’d try the oneup if I was looking for a new post

Another vote for the OneUp. But you do need to buy a remote and cable if you dont already have them set up. The SDG is also solid and includes the remote

I'm leaning towards the OneUp, since its on sale right now, with the remote from their website, I can get it for $218.

Does anyone know if the cable comes with the remote?

For those in the market for a new bike. Intense is running a free e13 carbon wheelset promo for select models/builds.
