I was thinking about checking out the misty falls trail, thanks for the advice.

 

The High Sierra Trail would be a good one. Getting from Whitney Portal back to Lodgepole is a long drive and setting up the cars etc would be a challenge but that hike looks amazing.

 

It looks rad, we're more into day hikes
though. I'm not in very good shape.
