Is this an existing product, or something you've discussed before? I'm excited to put my puddles in this weekend and want to know what the next hotness is that I should be excited for!

All these night pics and I want a set of these puddles even more now. Maybe another batch of them in a couple months?

So. Since there's already a T-harness to tap into the dome light circuit... How about a "deluxe" version with another connector in the T-harness (an "X" harness?) to accommodate either @DSIM 's module or the equivalent so we can add rock/footwell lights without having to use yet another T-harness.

I haven't looked at the lighting schematic, so this may or may not make sense.

Personally, I'm just looking to add a couple of small footwell lights that would work with the dome light.

Would power distribution be a problem? Sounds like there should be a dedicated fuse to certain things.

Yes, that's a problem. If I understand him correctly, @DSIM recommends an external (extra) relay for anything over 3 amps when using his harness. This external relay would have its own fuse.

Gotcha just making sure. I'm less than amateur with auto electronics, but I do know adding too many units to a single source of power could have less favorable results.

That's the whole point of his module - to handle the triggering/switching for rocks/cabin/etc. The first versions used an external relay, but later ones made it simpler with a built-in for basic LED loads. Having both the puddles and his module for everything else is the goal for some. No puddles, just module for me... but I get the struggle.

Whose module? <edit>Nevermind. After re-reading a few times, I see you're talking about the DSIM module without MESO's puddle pods.

You'll have to cut me some slack if there's something I don't seem understand. Without the actual products in front of me (hah!), I can't be certain of anything. Here's a pod photo from @pc3coyote 's thread:

I'm not seeing any module or a connector for adding additional lighting circuits. It *looks* like @MESO is just tapping into the dome light circuit. Is this not the latest version?

They're talking about 2 separate products. That's the whole point of the question

The harness adapter is the same for both products. Below that is a "Y" that splits left/right. for DSIM's module, it straight taps in. If you want BOTH, you need either another "Y" or a single to three adapter. This is what is being discussed. Users who only have one or the other are fine, but if you want both... you need a nearly unobtainium adapter (MESO and DSIM are working to resolve this).

Thank you. I *think* I'm on the same page as everyone else now. My fault for not going far back enough in the (lengthy) thread.

It's ok.... add that to the "will it work with KTJO 4x4's Power Folding Mirrors" and you'll be well rounded (or in serious need of alcohol).
