How do you like that cordless angle grinder? Easy to use with one hand and decent run time?

They are the shit! I use my 60v Dewalt all the time and barely ever pull out my corded grinder anymore. Plus my weed wacker uses the same battery and it fits in my existing 20v tools

It's fantastic, you don't have to fight the cord and with the bigger battery the added weight makes it easier to control
It's the 20v brushless grinder with the 60v battery (6ah)

I used it to remove the stock t-case cross member also

Finally picked up a dual case set up for my truck and now need to figure out next steps.
I have a R150F transmission that I will be mounting this behind. Here is my current situation, the r150f has a 23 spline and the dual cases are 21.
What is best way to join them together?
opt #1 remove the current total spline input gear and replace with a 23 spline set
opt #2 buy an adaptor plate that would have a 23 spline to 21 spline coupler

Also what adaptors is everyone using for r150f to gear driven case? so far found all the following options and not sure which I need.

@BlackPearl Are you plannin to SAS in the near future? Those two gear driven case combo is for a passenger side drop. Aka front driveshaft output is on the opposite side as your tacoma diff. 21 spline is a bit weak for the heavier tacoma, especially at that rear tcase input, which at a minimum should be swapped for a 23spline input.

Could probably get away with the 23-21spline adapter coming from the trans.

If your not planning to SAS anytime soon, then your going to need a few adapters and still utilize your factory tacoma chain tacse. Or....not recommending, finding an older drive drop T-100 gear driven tcase to swap with that rear tcase, but they were notorious for being weak and breaking.

Also hope he has a forward shifting case in there currently, don't think any tacomas had a forward shift cases, will need to convert to top shift. In all honesty, almost better to sell that as a whole and start fresh with a design that will work for the truck unless it was free lol

I think your right, dont remember seeing a tacoma with forward shift iirc.
Setup is worth some money to a pre-tacoma buyer.

Yes plan is to do a SAS. It will be one big mod with 5 speed transmission swap, dual case and a sas. It will be a passenger drop to an fj80 axle.
I haven't taken apart to see if second case is a 21 spline as well. my guess it probably is.
So to fix this I would need to just swap out both of the spline input gears to 23 spline? is it as simple as it sounds?

Okay good, just making sure. Sounds like you have a plan with these. And yes swapping to 23 spline is straight forward. If they both are in fact 21 spline then ideally you'll want swap both inputs to 23spline. But then of course that leads down the rabbit hole of if you have the input taken out, tcases split open, might as well swap the rear case for a 23spline 4.7 gear set vs. having a (2) 2.28 combo.
2.28x4.7 tcase combo is considered the "ultimate" crawler setup.

If you cant swap both, focus on the rear tcase input since that will see 2.28x the amount of torque as stock.

Lucky for me this one is already set up with a 4.7 rear tcase, front is stock 2.28.

Your just about set then, front 23spline input and then figure out the forward shift and convert to top shift and run the RAD shifters. Great shifters btw, run the same.

if I change out the front to a 23 spline do you think I should do the same to the rear even with the 4.7 gears?

I would of said yes if the rear was factory 2.28. But because 4.7s, run them. Worse case if they do strip/break then replace with a 23spline 4.7s.

Since it's a Marlin Case chances are good the 4.7s are 23spline.

The front 21spline front case are fairly common since most pre-Tacoma trucks were 21spline. Only factory 23 spline tcases were the ones behind the r151f trans with turbo pickups and 4runners.

The rear I believe is actually the 4.7 from trail gear. not sure if that makes difference
