I just finally got the ok from insurance. I have observed now that 4 months is long enough for the cheap tarps to start to fray and rip up there.

Did you learn anything useful about picking the shingles and stuff or did you just pick based on cosmetics?

I went with the GAF Timberline HD shingles. Both GAF and Owen Corning have good products and have online modeling tools to help you pick the color shingles you want. The contractor may want to put the new roof on over your old roof, but I would not let them. I found a second spot that had a small leak. After they are done, drag a magnet around your house, I found about 100 nails in the grass that were missed when they cleaned up. If you have any other questions feel free to call.

I'm getting them to quote a small change before the new roof goes on now. I want one of the smaller gables brought vertical so i can have a real wall with a window when i someday finish out a room above the garage.

If it were my choice, she would’ve gone to a better home or stayed with me. The original owner got the dog for free so I think they weren’t really prepared for a puppy.
