That was in reference to my question below about the light mounts behind the grille.

How do you feel about these 285/75/17's now that you've run them for a while? Do you think you'd ever have a need to bump to 315/35's?

I'm really stuck on this tire setup. 315/75/16 Duratracs w/SCS F5's would cost me $800 less than 285/75/17 Toyo's w/17" F5's.... and weigh 9lbs less for each wheel/tire. Buuuut, I think I'd like the fitment of your setup more. All other photos i've seen of this size online look really skinny, but for some reason yours always looks damn good! ....I wish someone was running these on a 3rd Gen Runner so I could see how it all fit.

Is there a link to where this was done successfully or are you just giving it a shot? Sounds like a sweet idea!

So after Southern Style off-road blew their lead time by at least 7 weeks, re-powdercoating all pieces, and the whole slimline/stage 2 kit laying in the garage for a month, we finally had time to get it installed and the bumper cuts made. Once we got the slimline installed and went to put on the stage 2 kit, we realized the fuckin fucks at SSO didn't drill the fucking holes where it mounts up to the slimline. So now I'm rollin' around with the half-done slimline and cut up bumper with no stage 2 until we have the time to drill the fucking holes that SSO didn't. Apparently we have to pull the slimline away a little to get in behind to bolt stage 2 wings up. I'm actually surprised that I got anything at all from SSO.

Thanks to and @Rashnu for the help!

    Not much stock left.
What a bunch of dick wads. There is a lot of of incompetence these days. It’s an epidemic.

But the truck is gonna look good. I think C4 offers something similar. I’ve had a good experience with them.

Saw these a couple weeks ago and had to have them. Great quality product made by @OneMoreToyota and I love that they match the other knobs on the dash.

Great looking truck! I’m going back and forth between a 3” lift vs a 6” lift. What are your thoughts on that and why did you decide to go with a 2.5” lift?
