    ah, well don't hate buell just cause you hate harley. harley was the only company that would take a shot on erik buell. he had some radical ideas and made something great from a bunch of bad ideas that seemed to coalesce into and engineering marvel
    i'm not a big harley fan either, but read about erik buell, its pretty interesting

    I can attest to the Beulls being junk. A coupple friends and my brother have them. My brothers has only got 800 miles on it, and he has had it for 4 years. He cant keep it running. Same thing with my buddies bikes. They dont run often. And the heat they give off can sterilize your nutts in a half hour.

    I've read all about Erik and the company. He does have some great engineering ideas and put quite a few of them in to production. I am not a fan of the Sportster engine, but it is sufficient. As a former Triumph owner, I have my prejudices against several brands. We all have our favorites.

    Out of the bikes I have had, Yamaha, Honda, Triumph, Ducatti......The Honda was THE most reliable. Hell.......I put 34,500 miles on the original oil in my night Hawk, Used water from Jack in the Box to keep the battery filled, and every now and then, hit the chain with WD40. :eek:

    I had an FJ600 (back when they were "the shit"), and it was a good bike. Sounded good, was fast for the time, etc. Handling was a little off though. I didnt know enough about bikes back them to know how to set it up good though. My YZ490 was a monster thoughm and despite me not knowing how to set up the suspension, It was clearly the fastest bike outta all my friends bikes.
