Principal resigns after arrest at DC strip club during student field trip

WASHINGTON DC -- The principal of a Catholic school in Port Allen was arrested Thursday at a strip club in Washington DC while on a school trip.

Students and chaperones from Holy Family School are still on the field trip to the nation's capital as of Friday afternoon.

Michael Comeau was arrested on public intoxication after allegedly refusing to pay his tab at Archibald's Gentleman's Club on K Street, according to police records.

When officers arrived, Comeau was standing in the street, police say. The person who called police also said Comeau had grabbed him by the collar.

Police asked Comeau repeatedly to get out of the street, but he refused, police reports say.

The Baton Rouge Diocese released a statement Friday saying Comeau had submitted his resignation.

"The Diocese of Baton Rouge confirmed today that Michael Comeau, principal at Holy Family School in Port Allen, was arrested on May 30 while on a school sponsored trip to Washington, DC. The incident occurred when the students on the trip were in their hotel rooms for the evening under the supervision of other chaperones. Mr. Comeau had been principal of Holy Family School for five years and prior to that time had served in public education in the surrounding area. Mr. Comeau has submitted his resignation as principal and an interim principal will be appointed."

The Brusly Police Chief Johnathan Lefeaux also confirmed Comeau was a reserve officer with the department for about six months. He resigned via text Friday morning.

Woman decapitated by elevator after headphones became tangled

A woman in India was decapitated by an elevator while trying to detangle her headphones, which became stuck on part of the lift's outer structure, according to the Indian Express.

The victim, 48-year-old Sushila Vishwakarma, boarded the elevator on the ground floor of a plastic factory where she worked in Vadodara city around 8 a.m. on Monday when the incident took place, police told the paper.

Vishwakarma's body was later retrieved from the elevator on the third floor of the building, while her head was discovered on the ground floor. A music playlist was still reportedly running on her phone, which was found with her body.

Earphones found plugged into the victim's severed head led police to believe the accessory became snared on the collapsible grill door of the elevator, leading the woman to lean out of the structure to try and untangle them.

 

Some strong ass headphones. Damn!

Two men used a blow torch to break into an ATM in Okaloosa Island, but ended up welding it shut.

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) -- Two men used a blow torch to break into an ATM in Okaloosa Island, but ended up welding it shut. They left with nothing.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office says the would-be crime happened around 3:13 a.m. on May 31st. The entire attempt caught on surveillance video. The still pictures released from the video shows two men with their faces covered. In addition to the blowtorch, one of the suspects was armed with a crowbar.

Deputies say instead of using the blow torch to open the ATM, the duo burned the hinges and wielded the machine shut.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office released a description of the suspects:

"One had on a black half nose mask with black sunglasses, a black leather style jacket, camo pants, desert tan military style boots, and black gloves.​

The other wore a tan toboggan style hat, scarf around his face, a black long sleeve Under Armour shirt, black gloves, black shorts, and white tube socks with multiple colored stripes. He was seen with a crow bar and appeared to serve as the lookout."
