Yea plus I would guess an area like that might be extra crowded on a weekend like that.

I've never been to the Gorman area. That might be a trip I can make and maybe have some of the SD crew tag along. So far my schedule is clear.

Is this an official TW run or something? I haven't seen any threads about it. That's a funny looking flyer though

I would be down for doing Pronghorn Trail and Lockwood Cyn/Miller Jeep Trail since they connect to Gorman. Mid July is going to be hot as balls out there though

No, not a sanctioned TW run.

The Google Doc has info for a different trail on the first page. Is that a separate run other people are planning?

I'll add this run to the doc. I'll put it after the info for the run that already on there.

I picked the campground location and time out of a hat. But the rest of the info is from the website. Feel free to edit as required.

yeah that's one of the 2 (?) main entrances into Gorman, you have to drive through a gate/kiosk and pay a fee to use the park, I think it's still just $5.

Although if you come into Gorman via Miller Jeep Trail, you get in for free. And it's a lot more fun than coming in off the highway lol.

The fire roads after MJT lead directly into Gorman since it's the fastest way out and back to the freeway, so you just tell the rangers at the kiosk on your way out that you came from MJT and they waive your fee.

Miller Jeep Trail is not a 'Nubs' trail.

Oh ok, lol. Maybe some people can exit that way if they want? I think then that the entrance to the park, the address you posted would be best to meet up.

    what's a nubs? I'm lost lol.

I mean if enough people are down then it could be fun to do for those of us that want to do MJT, then we can meet the other group in Gorman and camp/drive around Gorman.

MJT is definitely a 4x4/sliders trail, locker recommended but not required.

Sweet, well maybe at some point today we can add another page to google doc for this run and try and work out the details of who's in and who's starting where. I'll have some time around lunch to get it started if it hasn't yet

Best way I can describe MJT is remember that hard section of Heartbreak ridge that we did with Shane @desertjunkie760 ? It's a lot of that lol. But it's really pretty and unique terrain since it's north on the 5 quite a bit. Will probably be a few good big stream crossings too with all the rain we had this year.
