Norcal Spotted and BS Thread

Just reaching out to see if anyone on here is a dealer tech that works in the North Bay Area? I’d love to find a trustworthy technician to establish a working relationship with while my truck is still under warranty. Or anyone having luck with a dealership and working on modified vehicles?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

i have a friend who is a Toyota Tech in Vacaville. Has no issues working on modified vehicles.

 

Currently sitting in their lobby. Seriously irritated with their customer service/lack of keeping appointment times. Promised 3hrs to do a recall, got here and they told me 6hrs (2hrs in my truck is still sitting outside the service bay). Looks like I'll be late to work again.

 

oh the dealership is a joke. But as a tech, hes good.

Vallejo Toyota is great if you actually want shit done with decent C/S

 

I'll be trying Davis next. This was just on my way into the office... Really disappointed in the place. And their inventory is terrible for new cars as I walk around.

 

yep Dean (owner) has ruined that dealership all by himself. When i worked there almost 7 years ago it was THE best dealership on 80. Slowly everyone churned out and its just a joke now.

 

My review was just really bad for my 10k last week. When they send me the survey for this recall it'll be even worse. 6 hours and not even offered a ride/loaner to use in the mean time.

 

All stealerships are jokes. I've had some good experiences and met good people, but I've worked in a couple and talked to many people who work in others, they're all a circus.

On a lighter note, does anyone want a picnic bench for their home or favorite camping spot? Will be posting in the "pay it forward thread" too. Located in sac.

yep and the survey process really screws the Service Writer, they're bonus'd off those. Which is a whole nother' story of bullshit but its the dealer life.

Seriously you shouldnt be being treated that way and they dont give a shit, thats why good people left long ago.

Hanlees is also good in Davis.

Update: 3.5hrs into sitting here, they just took my truck back for the recall. Didn't tell me they hadn't started, I had to go ask what the hold up was.
