I've been thinking about seeing if any of y'all would like to do a sample swap.

I don't get to share my whiskies much, and maybe I've got something y'all would like to try and vice versa. I've got a stash of these cheap sample bottles and some labels to use.

I'm fresh out. Had a liter come through my way, but it was to help a buddy move for a Birthday Bourbon.

I'll let you all know if I find something, though ;).

I would do that trade all day long if I had a W12 on me!

That'd be fun! I think I have some stuff I'd offer up as samples ;).

I'm going to create a spreadsheet of my open bottles and I'll upload it here in the thread. I'm sure it'd be easier to just list off acronyms, but that doesn't sound like it'd be as tedious fun.

or maybe it should be via PM... I could see a sample swap getting out of hand pretty quickly. What do you think @bvbull200 ?

Probably via PM. If you put up a list of stuff, it'll read like it's free range for everyone. As much as I'd like to sample out everything I can to as many people as want it, I don't have that sort of reserves or low shipping rates .

Not that it is my thread to decide, but I would think that we wouldn't want to muddy up the thread by making it a marketplace for sample swaps.

You never know! The way I look at it... I really want to try as much whiskey as possible, but I don't need to be buying a ton of bottles. I have one bar sorta near me that has some whiskey, but it's way too expensive IMO.

IF WE DO IT - I figure we'll just include those of us that are active in this thread.

    That would be hilarious.

Doing the preliminary work with my local drinkers with regards to doing a barrel pick, too. Might target next summer and make a trip up to Kentucky to do it, rather than do the shipped samples thing.

I don't think I could sell them on dickbutt, but you never know.
