Not sure where everyone is getting 6 to 10 grand for all the mods. Mine was 3 I priced everything out and it added up to that much and they installed everything. I’m sure they made money off of me there not on business to lose money. The people that think they get these trucks at cost only says the salesman did a really good job making them think so. Lol

Some dealers like to do the 'you invalidated your warranty by modifying your truck with that decal...' then sell a dealer modified rig at a huge markup and it keeps the warranty. It is mostly a scare tactic because they have to prove whatever broke was caused directly by a modification to void the warranty.

That doesn’t answer my question or change the fact that they are willingly buying the product. Ever heard of due diligence?

No one is forcing them to do anything...

Not with all the tech features built in now. These features will fail and be quite expensive to repair.

Some of the tech may die early (i.e. fancy color displays, entune, etc.), but the guts are still solid. I'd argue these 3rd gens are built better than the 1st and 2nd gens.

A 60 month $40,000 loan at 1.9% is Payment 699.36 Total Interest is $1,961.71 Total cost of payments is $41961
    A 60 mopnth $37,000 loan at 4% is Payment $681.31 Total Interest is $3884 Total Payments $40878

Seems to me although the interest is higher, the better deal is still the $37000 vehicle at 4%

My 2003 1st gen was trouble free after 13 yrs and 229,000 miles. Just hate to be nickel and dimed to death down the road. I think the 2016/2017 will be less trouble prone related to tech features than the 2018 and beyond.

Not quite ginger bread. The suspension is better, a 1 inch lift. Skid plate, etc, etc...and it has a nifty TRD Pro on it.

    Lost somewhere in the PNW
    Vehicle:
Current vehicles: 2019 Rav4 Lunar Rock. 2018 TRD OR DCSB KD Max tuned. 2010 Tundra Limited Crew Max . 1991 4Runner Crawler. Ivan Stewart Edition
KD Max Tune, King 2.5 coil overs T.C. UCA's, Deaver leafs, 17x9 Black Rhyno Warlords, 33" Toyo M/T's, Metal Tech rear bumper, Westin HDX drop steps with Bullet Liner coating, K&N CAI, Baja Designs fog pods, Rigid Midnight addition 3" pod ditch lights. Cali Raised brackets and 32" behind the grill mounted light bar, Southern Style Offroad Lopro Stage II front bumper, Warn winch, FACTOR 55 Ultra Hook, FACTOR 55 Hawes Fairleed, full debadge, Cosmetic goodies such as 15% carbon tint, matte black in channel rain guards, interior LED's, Teton Workshop shift knob, Inferno vinyl detailing on the interior, Cali Raised multi rocker switch cubby insert with Mc Tuning LED switches and a few other mods I've probably left out.
Hah my local Toyota dealership is way into moding both their Tacomas and Tundras. They have a huge take-off parts section that they sell. They put on everything from aftermarket wheels and tires and 3"-6" lifts. Fox suspensions to SSO front bumpers and slider and Warn winches, light bars etc.... Prices for these rigs well pass the price of the Pros they have on the lot. People are buying them as fast as they build them and apparently not giving two turds about warranty.
Quite frankly with the moding I've done to my 18 OR I'm pretty sure I'll have to self warranty so I get it. I figure if you can afford what ends up being a $55-$60k truck when all is said and done you should be able to handle a few k$ on a repair.
