Well I couldnt get my C note horn to work, even with a new coil that I knew worked. I tried A,F,F,D notes together and they sound pretty good so I guess Ill just run that.

Am I the only one that doesn't really care what my horn sounds like...it beeps and that's all that really matters.

And I do use it often, I'm not one of those people that never honks...I honk at everyone

our horns are so much better than what I had in my 98 taco... If I still had that, I might have ordered a horn setup - that thing was horrible, embarrassed to use it

Meh, I dont really either. But I do think that what Tyler is selling is a cool, easy to install setup. But being a broke college kid I cant justify his prices. I have $50 total in what Im installing, and once I sell the second set I bought on ebay, I will have made money on this entire endeavor.

Harbor Freight has a triple train horn setup in the automotive section for $17, maybe I'll slap that on my truck lol

Go for it. Everytime I go to the junkyard from here on Im gonna look for those 4 note GM setups though. Those things fetch stupid money on ebay, even with a crappy paint job. I wont sell them here, but the suckers on ebay who are too lazy to pull a set themselves can start the bidding at $75.

I'm trying to figure out where the factory alarm chirp thing is located in an 06 camry.... I think it might be behind the splash liner on the passenger side wheel well - definitely not in the engine bay. @Empty_Lord - any ideas? Kind of like the sound of it more than the tacoma. Was thinking of swapping them out.

My LBJ's are moist (ugh) underneath the boots, but still no excessive play in them so I think/hope I'm okay for awhile. They're OEM with only ~50k miles, though some of those miles have been pretty rough.

Yeah I got my original ones replaced because the grease wasn't just moist, it was gobby like what you described.

I just make sure to always check them for play when I have the wheels off the ground, so long as they aren't sloppy or spewing grease I won't be worried

My ubj's puke out a gob of grease every now and then. As long as the boot is still puffy, I just wipe it up and move on.

Mine had a little crust so they opted to replace it. Im gonna see if mine qualified for the lbj recall this weekend when it goes in for service. Doubt it does though, since it was one of the last 1st gens sold/made. Mine was still on the lot while the early 2nd gens were starting to come out.

In some cases, if I needed to get around someone but people were in my way that's what I did. It worked well, I never went above the 75MPH limit.

Some people actually drive the limit. You know, that thing you probably ignore?

This isn't rocket appliances. If I never went above the speed limit but I passed people you can assume they were going slower than 75. If I couldn't get into the other lane because people were passing me I must've had to slow down to the speed of the person I wanted to pass or I'd hit them.

Not mounted, I keep it in an old army surplus bag in the back though.

The pin fell out once in and when I grabbed the back it triggered the extinguisher...that took some time clean up.
