I'm salary (military) anyway. But I'm pissed and will be letting them know as I leave. I had actually just walked back to see if my truck was still sitting there when it was gone.

The PCS/millimeter wave sensor recall. All it needed was a reseal from what I read in the description.

Westbound 50 near Howe around 4:40. No plates. Had "Hanlees" on the license plate.

    Warranty work is low priority.

You’ll definitely sit in line at a dealer unless you’re politely not accepting that treatment.

Anyone been up near Downieville/Poker Flat? Got a buddy who wants to go up there, but not sure of snow conditions on Poker Flat after this gnarly winter

Warranty starts a clock. If you do not prioritize it, mfg bitches. Customer inches another day closer to 30 at which point, you turn into a pumpkin.

I meant in the queue for the day.

Book time pays less than cash customers, they get in and out of the bays first.

Not a dealership wrench turner, so total conjecture but is based on what I’ve experienced and heard from guys that are dealership wrench turners. :notsure:

We were supposed to go this weekend. Ranger stated that the trail to PF from Downieville is closed due to snow. No info on trail coming from La Porte.

Not enough to have a build thread.
Yep. Ford expects its techs to be 80% efficient doing warranty work. They say the 20% is stuff they're not going to pay for, like getting parts, talking to the service writer, etc. With the right customer pay jobs, you can be 150% efficient. Theres a front end guy at my last place that regularly hit 140 - 200% depending on the month. He worked hard, but was fed gravy customer pay work all day every day.

I am not disagreeing with that. But an appointment is still an appointment. If you don't maintain your appointment times you will get negative feedback. This gives negative feedback to the service provider meaning they get a smaller bonus as was mentioned above. You'd think the service provider would at LEAST keep the customer apprised of the situation. They could have also let me hold on to my truck for a few hours and call me when they were ready for me.
