I know someone already gave you the link to the thread, but I *think* this is the part number for the black door handles.



I plan on doing the same, hoping to grab a set of puddle lights from MESO and while I have the door trim removed was gonna either plasti dip them or straight out replace.

 

Man I really like the Pro grill style smoothed in matte! I also really like the retro silver & gray striped Toyota one but I don't see it on Etsy.

 

Yeah they are sold out presently. I've got a couple custom orders to get done and then I'll be getting everything restocked. I have a multi material system ordered that should greatly speed up my lead time. Right now I have to print each color individually. I also plan on having all colors available in the smoothed pro grille style.

Finally found a red that works too! I still wish it was a touch more vibrant, but I don't think that's going to happen without paint. It'll be in my other designs soon.

 

Anything for a second gen?

 

A few pages back, I did a write up. Short version is yes, they will work on a 2nd gen, with a little work. In my mind it’s totally worth the effort, but I hate chrome.

 

Man, I do like that first one. It would be awesome if there could be a matching grille emblem overlay

ok so question for my 2nd gen how exactly do i get the factory emblem to go back into the airbag so it’s like flush? would removing my horn fuse help me? it kinda just sets in the spot but is far from flush.
i’m wondering if i need to take the whole airbag out of the housing and use the other emblem which is unpainted and has the posts to properly reinstall it

 

Finally gluing my emblem back on. wish i used something different than e6000 pain the ass as it’s like silicone and takes forever to harden creating kind of a mess

Did you remove battery cables prior to removing emblem?

 

No Sir.. Took it out less than 5 minutes

 

My kids got me a Ellis Precision shift knob for Father’s Day and I had to share how perfect it matches my steering wheel emblem here. The emblem gray is exactly the same color as the laser engraving on the knob.
