My old PT was a natural body builder and he raved about nutrient timing (and @ThunderCookies would be happy to know pop tarts were his postworkout go to). He was adamate about carbs after workouts.

I’ve never felt what I ate preworkout made a rats ass bit of difference but what I eat after does.

I used to eat my pop tart before but my current coach said to limit fat pre workout so it got moved :notsure:

I eat carbs after my workout and with lunch and then a small amount before bed in my shake. I currently have none at dinner. I figured eating them in the morning when I wake up and before my workout would help energize me

But I also have no idea what I’m even doing :cookiemonster:

I did hammies on Sunday, fuck me they still hurt. As of recent I now split Hammies/Glutes/Calves and Quads/Calves. Can't ever do too many calves, lets be honest.

That’s the fucking worst. When they still hurt and leg day comes back around is like hell on earth lol.

Also temptation is strong today. Donuts and sausage rolls for free at work today

Eat that free food, subtract something later - all about flexible eating. There's no way I'm gonna say no to a donut lmao

I took 3 weeks off lifting to focus my training on this weekends 5k race.
So today will be an easy day of squats, box steps, and some machines to get my muscles reaquainted.
If not I won’t be able to walk for a week haha.
