I don't wave but I do like pulling up next to a stock Taco 4x4 and see out of the corner of my eye him checking out mine. Feels good.

We have a Harley. The Harley wave is done to all bikes passed the road. Dad had a Jeep, same thing, all Jeeps waved.
Kind of surprised Tacoma’s don’t do this honestly.

I don't need affirmation that I made the right choice in buying a vehicle. The reason you see Harley and Jeep owners wave is because they need it.

Got waved at, and waved back, by 3 tacos on the way in this morning.. definitely a southern thing for sure! but also a taco thing. Jeeps, mustangs, and tacos are the heavy-wavers in my experience

I always wave. Maybe im a weirdo too

OH and by the way.. its a little finger-lift-off-the-steering-wheel kind of wave. not a full on pride wave

I don’t have a great explanation for that one. I guess I would say because on a bike most people just wave to their riders. Out of respect or whatever for another rider. Now some guys won’t wave, or wave to certain kinds of bikes. I guess it’s just different than some random dude trying to wave at you because you own the same brand of truck. Besides, a lifted first, or thumb or whatever is a little more mild than a full hand or the forest gump wave

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
How about when someone waves, you don’t catch it, and then you see them fade off in the distance with a sad puppy look. Lol
This is too funny... I am from the south and live in Atlanta. Now this is a real pickle, because there are people from everywhere in this city. Lots of people stare, don’t know how to react when your polite, and more often than not you wave with your middle finger.
On the flip side I have a house in NC above Asheville. There everyone waves, in fact if you don’t you feel like an asshat. Lol
This is a good topic, gets to the core as to why out great nation is crumbling.

I always flash a shaka sign when I see one. I usually just get ignored, but sometimes I get a response... Either way, I really dont care how weird it is... and neither should you...

I’ve just experienced the subtle lil finger or thumb lift. No Forest Gump wave or I would have laughed, waved back, but laughed! Not to be disrespectful just because it would have caught me off guard and I would find that funny. I was just curious.:)

Not all Tacoma owners are fan boys. Some just needed/wanted a reliable truck for whatever reason.

Edit: This is the reason there is no "Tacoma" wave

I still give the lift of a finger to tacos and/or anyone that does it to me. Just a friendly gesture. Evidently going to have to get a TacomaWorld sticker so people know why lol
