In the process of installing my D-rings, I lost one of my bed bolt....well I didn't my neighbor who was helping me did.
I have an 08 taco pre runner shortbed, is this going to cost me a lot to replace? Where can I get it?

If you have an Ace, or True Value hardware store, you can find one there.

go test drive a taco and after wards ask the salesman for a brochure or something.. when he goes inside slip the wrench down your sleeve and pop it off while you're checking out the nifty bed pockets :D

You can always go to the dealer.
If you are worried about size, pull another bolt out and take it to the hardware store to compare.

I'm going to say it would be more like $10. Just comparing it to what I was quoted for the bed bolts for my '86.

I've had leased vehicles before. They aren't going to care where the bolt came from. They may not even see it. They are more interested in the cab interior & that everything works. And how many miles you are over so they they can charge you out the ass for excessive mileage!

Just FYI: If you decide to buy at the end of the lease. Offer them wholesale for the vehicle. They will get less than wholesale if they have to dispose of it themselves. Never pay what they want you to pay, usually around retail. I had a 97 Jeep grand cherokee that was leased. They offered it to me for $16000. I told them I would give them $12000(wholesale value, don't mention it this way. Just say this is what I will pay for it). I bought the Jeep for $12,000. I was way over the miles. If I would have turned it in, I would have been charged $4500 for excessive mileage.

You haven't tried removing those bolts have you? I needed an impact wrench to break mine loose.

I was wondering the same thing... lol I can see losing screws while taking apart a laptop, but c'mon! A 5-6" long, 1/2" thick bolt is kinda hard to miss.

don't get one from Ace. The bed bolts are stronger than your standard grade 5 bolts. I'd definitely replace with OEM.
