For future reference, don’t mention hand and grease in the same sentence. LOL. Just kidding.

From what I always heard, you’re supposed to pump grease just until you see some seep out.

I'd get into the habit of manually greasing the exposed steering shaft u-joint to prevent it from rusting and corroding. Just put a glove on and grease it up...

Poly bushings need a PTFE based grease; SuperLube, Prothane, Energy Suspension, etc...

me neither I was doing it like tacomaholic in his vid for years before coming across that video, sure makes life easier when you got 2 hands free and it forces the grease into the zerk no excess squirting out the edges cause it wasn't clamped on

it don't take that long, you can even forgo doing the front driveshaft if you haven't used the 4wd

I believe the front driveshaft always rotates whether in 2wd or 4wd.

It does from everything I’ve read.

I just bought two more bottles of 75w gear oil for the transfer case. I’m just gonna cry as I swap out $200+ of fluid this weekend. Can’t begin to imagine what the dealer would charge for this.

Oh that’s the total for all the fluid. I’m just using Redline 75w-90 MT-90 for it as well. The most frustrating part of the day will be hand pumping it all in.

it would cut the grease work in half not doing the front driveshaft, especially if the truck wasn't used in 4wd wouldn't be any wear on the front universals that would need a grease job
