I was just looking thru the 2017 Brochure and it lists all the models in order, SR5 says Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel, so each model above has the same or better.

my 17 trdor has that shiftknob and steering wheel. and the locking tailgate is a dealer/port installed accessory. often an over priced pop n' lock.

Port / Region installed option (SET usually) not available in all states, its just an overpriced pop and lock.

He had another thread mentioning about how he has had the most tacomas and must be an expert, that he took a beating in once he realized there are many more here that have had alot more in all trims, gens, builds, etc. I feel bad, trying not to beat up on him, but when you're posting videos and threads with incorrect information about our beloved Tacoma I get alittle out of character. Hey at least he's passionate about them like the rest of us, just misinformed/researched.

    I'm in southern california.

photos dont really matter. we could argue until the cows come home.. as they say...

MY (my build) 18 trd OR 4x4 did not have the leather trim steering wheel and it was one the most thing that annoyed me in that truck. Maybe other builds do. it does not matter. my 2017 $32k TRD sport 4x2 did have the leather trim steering.

i can really differentiate between the two.

Just like his last thread when proven wrong or his point argued he continues to disagree, I'm out, even if your truck was a bad part / lemon type build you probably should rethink your video and post that states changes that are incorrect for the 99.9999999999% of tacomas produced.

obviously, you are the expert. my previous post regarding the "Expertises in tacos" was supposed to be a joke. but you guys are just way too serious here. who cares about who is expert in what...
i'm an expert in what makes me money... tacos dont make me money. therefore i dont really care. it does not matter.

yup im making this shit up for fame. you dont even have the OR version, i see you got a sport ... which point is ticking you off anyway?? the steering wheel or the shift knob? .. sure shift knob u r likely correct. however my previous steering wheel on the 2018 trd OR 4x4 was not leather trimmed. everything else in my video is correct.

So prove your 18 OR's steering wheel was not leather trimmed. All TRD ORs in the states at least come with the leather wrapped steering wheel.

Anyway this is a lost case lol.

As an 18 TRD OR owner I will say that my steering wheel is leather wrapped.

    Screenshot 2019-06-06 00.48.58.jpg

Which looks like the steering wheel you had in your 2018 TRD OR from your youtube video. also the same as the other TRDs pictured above

018_0018.jpg also looks like its the same steering wheel in the sr5. Based on searching used cars on carmax. only the SR has a urethane steering wheel

No one said your making it up for fame, just posting incorrect information which you are. And yes the steering wheel has not changed in fact the steering wheel in the TRD is a carry over from the previous gen my 15 sport had the same steering wheel. What is annoying is rather than accept you are misinformed you continue with insisting you are right and the rest of us are wrong. Oh and by the way I’ve had two 17 TRD Offroads and a 19 Offroad before my now 19 Sport so that silly comment of yours is mute.

I forgot about the last few years of the 2nd Gen having that same wheel too, my 2015 OR had it with just a couple minor switch differences.
