This forum is turning into a home of the whiniest little bitches I've ever seen. "Messed up your knee" Really? What did you do take a running jump to get into your truck?

May your powers of observation continue to serve you well.

This was a post just as a reminder. Nothing more, nothing less. Just trying to help other TACO members. It’s good to know you’ve never had a bodily accident.

That's me. I'm short... but my wife's even shorter. I've slammed my knee good a couple times. Doesn't help that my trailer brake controller is down there either.

Well see here is a problem then. the tech is not working for free, the dealer is not working for free either. They are both being paid by Toyota, just because im not the one paying doesnt mean the service should be lacking.

Many techs dont have this anymore. They are paid to replace parts that the computer told them to and nothing more, there is no diagnosis beyond a computer scan, then throw parts at it till its fixed, then move on to the next job.

I mean… You definitely paid for the "free" service at the time of purchase. Ain't nothin' free and if it was, I wouldn't let them get within ten yards of it.

Power seats with memory programmed to the key is the way to go. My wife drives with the seat all the way forward and in my old Audi I would smash my knees almost every time I would get in to drive after her. Her car now has the memory seats that are programmed to a key so now when I go to get in after her the seat adjusts itself automatically. It is one of those features that if you don't have it, you probably won't miss it but if you do have it, you definitely miss it when you don't.

    I know, first world problems...

I used to be a little annoyed when they changed my radio station... but I haven't had an antenna on my truck for about a year... so yeah... my radio has 1 station locally. I think I've set most of my presets to it, hahaha.

My sister's truck used to automatically lower down and backwards to make it easier to get out, and when you get in it would move you back up and forward to your preset when you started it. That one's really fun when you are taller and not expecting it, as it lifts you up and slowly squishes you against the steering wheel while you reach for the switches to make it stop!

Yes because when we move a seat we remember exactly where the old seating position was.

Although I only usually moved people’s seat when I was doing working under the dash, in some cases I had to move a seat because it was just too unsafe for me to drive into the shop. Sorry I’m not going to risk the safety of myself or someone else just so you don’t have to be slightly inconvenienced in taking 6 seconds to readjust your seat

I totally agree with you. It can/is a safety concern. Safety goes in both directions.
