He only knows things that make him money. Hopefully he ain’t making money off YouTube. I didn’t even watch the video, but if his post is wrong then his video is wrong.

You should take your video down so you’re not spreading misinformation about a product and deterring someone from a sale.

Had '18 SR5 SB and now have '18 OR LB. Purchased during the arrival of 2019s. One of those reasons for not going '19 was the loss of the left rear bed cubby.
Not sure about SET, but GST has been offering the tailgate lock as "factory" (Port installed) on all 2018 trucks. It's not a Pop-N-Lock, but works and is essentially the same thing.
SR5 has rubberized shifter knob. TRD has leather wrapped. There are plenty of minor differences overall that give visual queues.

I could easily see either a "test drive" customer swapping the knobs, or even the dealership to make a sale (and not replacing it afterwards). OP just got the downside of that deal.

18-19, I know my 17 had it, maybe midcycle 17? Good point though.

I think 18 was the first year of the passenger side floor mat clip locks.

Organizer wasn't there in my early '18 or late '18.
Floor mat clips were present for Passenger on BOTH for '18.

Yep, just one of the many ways the bean counters keep the cost stable (or profits up, whichever way you look at it). It's the same thing as the bag of coffee that now contains 12 or 10 oz instead of the original 1lb (16 oz). Or cereals that the box gets thinner, but stays tall. Keep you thinking same bargain, but you get less.

On that note, if you don't have the glovebox divider, get the aftermarket OCD version... well worth it.

You probably have the tech package, if you had a non tech package it would still be chrome, has something to do with the radar/sensors. The older trucks the tech package was bundled with the premium and not the case anymore. Seems like Toyota also pumps out almost every truck with at least the tech package, maybe to maximize profit, rarely see a chrome bumpered new off road these days.

It is also found on SR, and also those with Tech Package (I think the chrome interferes with BSM).

If you get the tech package with the OR it comes with color matched bumper caps for the BSM.
