Must be downhill or flat going 55mph. My 02 prerunner tacos best was 23mpg but it was not normal driving, avg was closer to 21mpg. I have seen a best 19.5mpg on the tundra but avg is closer to 17mpg.

cuz maybe he wants a full size truck with the toyota reliability and not the headache of owning a diesel?

Plus everything costs double it seems like, parts, oil changes, ect... I love my old 7.3 powerstoke no one ever cuts in front of me or tailgates, it's my work truck/ tow pig. But if I only had 1 truck I would pick the tundra all day long over my f350 and Tacoma

the 4runner and tacoma have greater payload capacities than the tundra.. sure toyota may want you to think its a full size truck
what a winner, with a wopping 11mpg at best

Well personally I also wanted the interior space.

I also didn’t want a third gen taco due to all the BS issues people always bitch about. And I need a truck, not an SUV.

And who the fuck buys a truck if their biggest concern is MPG? Buy a Prius then

When its driven unloaded 99% of the time and 5PMG Difference over 100,000 Miles can actually be a surprising amount of count. The issue is that there are more efficient Half ton trucks than the Tundra.

Ok, so don’t buy one then. It comes down to personal needs and wants and usages.

And refer then to my previous post:
I wanted a full size truck with reliability that didn’t involve the headache of owning a diesel. Therefore I bought a tundra.

guy that did my dirt and septic work on my 10ac in GA charged 6k for 1 dozer, 1 excavator, 2 operators and septic install. pulled the heavy equp. with 2019 f350. he had 1 job friday, started mine on saturday, came back monday and finished. 9k in 3 days. believe it or not some men still use a truck for work, i dont give a shit if you spill your nachos or lean on my truck, hose it out... its a WORK TRUCK!!!

Lol - I don’t care what truck everyone buys. It’s their money being spent (unless you’re @Nitori , then it’s grandma’s), so buy whatever truck you want that fits your needs and wants, cuz at the end of the day, you have to drive it and look at it every day.

Just was giving my insight, as someone who has owned Tacomas and currently owns a Tundra. And has a history of dabbling with Diesels too.

Can’t argue there, but I feel like the Tundra is still more of a work truck than the Denali or AT4 are. Those look like something you’d see on Fixer Upper or Property Brothers as they all jump out in Tims and unload a few bags of grass seed or something.

Masters of Flip for that matter. Like take the fk'ing hat off for once.

Trail Boss Custom is pretty stripped down, in a good, more of a work horse truck... 6.2L is available soon as well as the straight 6 duramax diesel.

so buy a tundra if you want all the downsides of a full size truck, without any of the plus sides
    sounds cool
