'Appears' is right. This pic looks like it was taken with a potato.

I would agree from what I looks like though - Unfixable with resin/safelite.

But why would you get Toyota glass? I would chance it with a Pilkington replacement without the Toyota stamp. Same thing (at least on my truck and my Lexus) and much cheaper without the stamp.

I would think that's the best spot. On the passager side and once it cracks to the edge of the glass it's not going any further.

    I wouldn't worry about it

I had a 2014 BMW 328i with Heads Up Display (HUD). The BMW windshields were "soft" as heck and I had 3 of them bust in 2 years. With the HUD, it was $900+/- through Safelite each time. They said the HUD added an additional $300-400 due to the reflective material. I went full mental case the last time it happened because it was only 4 months after I had it replaced the 2nd time.

Safelite here in So Cal was $800, and that included calibrating the camera.

UPDATE.. Great news. Because I've never had a claim in many many years there is no deductible. The policy says there MAY be a deductible. Long live NATIONWIDE.:amen: They even pay for the dreaded recalibration costs.:fingerscrossed:

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
My insurance has a separate windshield clause. Something like allowance to replace once per year at $100 deductable instead of my normal higher deductable.

I guess states and policies all have their own deals.

Doesn’t your “comprehensive” cover it? I have $1000.00 deductible and never paid more than $50.00 for a new windshield.

NATIONWIDE in Tennessee says it MAY have a deductible. I have a$1000 deductible for Comprehensive. They chose to give a $0 deductible.

I got my windshield replaced with a Pilkington glass JUST like the OEM one. All for $250 and some change. Plus, it only took 30 minutes to do.

Not an option sometimes. But glad to see others can benefit from it.

People love to compare their insurance on here saying "How come you can't just get free replacement through insurance for $0 replacement because that's what I did." Unfortunately no one has the same insurance, rates, live in the same state with the same laws, have the same situation etc..

I have a 0 deductible on my windshield, it's a separate policy. I usually go through one a year as long as I am lucky. And I ALWAYS insist on the factory glass. Even if I had to pay for it, I would only get factory. The windshield is the largest structural diaphragm in your entire vehicle.
