Agreed. I did think of opening a few teriyaki shops though at one point. Running a restaurant isn't a hobby but it makes big bucks if you find a right spot and run it right. My uncle has 2 in the vancouver area and all he does is play golf now and has a baller ass house in a gated neighborhood.

I worked in the motorcycle industry for a long time. it was kind of a double edged sword.

The perks, people, and product was awesome but it made it difficult to keep racing/riding a lot because of the bankers hours. And there are very few ways to make decent money in it anymore.

And the other 98% of restaurant owners work 60 hours a week just to make it by Restaurants come and go. They have to have something special to be the kind of owner that can step away from a restaraunt business.

Yeah, there was a lot of blood sweat and tears to get them to where it is today. My uncle's the type to always buy something cheap, fix it, and flip it. When I was a kid he'd always have a junker car that he was fixing and flipping. Started with just corollas and what not and then eventually got into houses. He used to have a new house every 3-4 years I swear. So he had that same mentality with the restaurants but it was a lot harder initially of course. No benefits, no vacation, etc. But now that he's worked out the kinks from the previous owner he just manages them instead of working there personally, even though he takes in a lot less money to pay for competent staff (a key in the small restaurant business).

That being said, his previous business went under after about 25 years so not everything has a success story.

Anyone ever go to lonesome lake off of green water? 47.007510, -121.663539

Looks pretty cool, but read there was some trash and possible tweakers, but those were super old reports.

Also, anyone have a single 17" wheel laying around? I'm picking up a spare 285/70/17 tire soon. Doesn't need to match the rest since I won't rotate it with the other since it doesn't match.

Do you know if the stock spare has enough backspacing to run 285/70s? My oem 16" spare tire is already pressing against my swing out fully inflated.

I have a spacer that I made for my swing out for this and my previous 16" spare.

not too sure if it will clear the UCA up front with stock or aftermarket UCA's. I would assume its the same offset as the stock TRD sport wheels that were on the truck. Some people clear UCA's with 285's on those wheels but a lot of guys run spacers with them as well.

Worse case if you have a front flat you can throw the spare on the back and swap the front with a rear. little more messing around but gets you on the road.

Yeah good call guys. I have 4 spacers sitting in my garage I planned on putting on the truck but haven't yet since I think it'll make my rubbing worse. I could always throw one on the swing arm like @Eazy.E and run it only if I need to limp home with the spare.

I have only gone to Lonesome Lake (75-30) when there is 3-6' snow and the lake is frozen over.
There are some amazing camp sites around there.... allegedly!

I go up there at least once a month during the summer/fall when I go shooting, never really seen any tweakers...... nice little lake if you have kids and don’t want to hike. Not usually many (if any) people because of how far it is up the road. Also good shooting pit about half way up that not many people know of. I haven’t been up there in a while so I don’t know if it’s still frozen or not but I’d guess it’s pretty clear

Awesome. That's exactly what it is. My kids went on their first hike the other week and they did well, but we had to carry them in their carriers on the way back. If I'm headed to a lake I'd bring some fishing gear, food, beers, etc and don't want to lug that around either. Might try to check it out soon then.

Any photos of the lonesome lake area? I've been to suntop lookout, but not much else on that side of 410. It's snow free up to suntop now (5400').
