Snugtop Part number is 22060. Just throwing it out there in case someone knows of a wadded up top with a good rear glass. Some idiot crackhead decided to smash mine out today while I was donating blood. No good deed goes unpunished I suppose. Ugh.

Sucks so bad. My dashcam only has forward view, so I can only HEAR the second that it happened. Both cameras on the building JUST miss my truck.

Just to follow up, I had to bite the bullet and pay almost $600 for the back glass. If I had it to do over again, I'd buy a camper shell with a grandpa style flat, framed back glass that I could easily replace myself.

I cannot imagine that Snugtop pays to OEM their own special glass, and I hypothesize that they must build the shells around someone else's OEM window, and they just add the bottom piece to mate with the tailgate of different trucks. It would be interesting to test this theory. Snugtop is extremely difficult to buy parts from, and they do not publish a book of parts that I can get my hands on. Even the local dealer says that they have to provide a serial number of a cap to get any parts. Just throwing this out there to see if anyone has any insight into snugtop suppliers? Would be really nice to know for next time that I could go find a rear glass out of a Bronco II or something and attach it to the hinges and bottom piece and not have to pay $600 and drive around for a month with no back glass. :) Even to know what other models of Snugtops take the same glass would be awesome.

I was able to find out who the manufacturer is by taking pictures of other Snugtop shells in the camper shell dealer near me. Interestingly, all of the automotive style rear windows in the shop are DOT 243 which tells us the manufacturer is SPEC-TEMP, INC. - ANTWERP, OH, which has been acquired and is now known as Paragon. http://www.paragontemperedglass.com/.

I've submitted an inquiry on their website and will update here if I get anything helpful.

Just heard back from Paragon. Super nice folks, but all info between them and Snugtop is proprietary and confidential. He did say that they are built to a Snugtop engineering spec and proprietary.

I love this top, but it's the last one I buy with automotive rear glass. Insane that you have to wait over a month and pay $600 to buy a piece of glass.

hi, I broke the same glass in an accident and lost all the parts, hinges, handle, rubber.
Do you have those parts of your old glass?

I'll take a look in the shop. Not sure if I have them or not.

I did see that Amazon has them all, but they're asking an arm and a leg.

Sorry man. Just saw this. Afraid I didn't keep any of the old stuff. Best of luck in your search. Frustrating, as you know that there's a wrecking yard somewhere with everything you need.
