Nah just a rental. And yeah there is. It’s fun hitting the gas when beside someone and seeing their reaction.

He doesn't have an issue with pulling the diff to see what gears are in it.
Are they stamped somewhere or do you just have to count the teeth and divide the pinion?

 

I'd switch the gears anyhow. Just wondering if this would be worth the swap and if I could get gears to match the front. Gotta do some research tonight. I may bite on this of it has a locker and shit already.

 

Not sure the wms would be the same. These were used on early 90's yotas.
There's an arb locker in it but no axles/brakes/hubs.

Hell , for $200, I'd almost like to have it sitting in my garage.

 

Spin the driveshaft link and see how many times it takes to get the axle to turn once.

 

No axles in it.

I think it uses the 8.3/4 diff and gearset but uses Toyota axles, hub, brakes, etc.

 

Really wouldn't be that hard to lengthen the tubes and put the tacoma ends on it. Only question is does the locker work

Been looking at those but with an auto. Or the big brother out of a LC. Diesels in NC only require safety inspection
