I'd vote plastic. The idea of not having to find matching brick/mortar, the pain of patching up masonry, and the worry of it popping out in 10 years after foundation settling... That's worth an easy treefiddy.

Not that you'd ever do it again, but in the off chance someone borrows your car and does it again, yeah. Plastic is the way to go.

    Yep, thinking the same thing.

Looks like I dodged a bullet of my own making.

You already proven that by smashing the bumper in a brick wall....:frusty:

I would go metal. $350 for this one, and $350 for the other one...since you know how to do it now...
The plastics in the taco are shit. Waste of money.

Get the caps that dissent makes. Isn't he making aluminum or steel ones just for the corners?

Got a link? The expensive part is the bumper extension, the piece under the cap.

Yes, the same thoughts as well, looks to be $600 for a pair plus powdercoating.

8 -12 week lead time also.

I got rear ended and only passenger rear panel was damaged. Toyota ended up giving me $1200 to fix it through insurance, I turned around a paid a small amount extra for a steel bumper instead.

You're about halfway to a new steel bumper

I hit my house with my truck, probably not going to go through insurance on this one. This will all be out of pocket.

Tires are also due this year, I just got back from upsizing the spare in preparation when I decided to back the truck into the driveway to lubricate the hoist, that's what caused this mess to begin with.
