I think it was only 03-04 xterras that offered the supercharger. There were a couple years of frontier and Pathfinder too but I don't remember which ones. It wasn't the most common option, and just like the Toyota ones it's too damn small.

 

Yeah $200 SC for my Z. I'm not buying it tho, it's too small for a 3.0 being an MP62 and it doesn't fit under the hood

 

Yeah ik. For some reason i was thinking twin turbos and you should twin charge instead.

hmm mp62 is the same size as the trd blower. perfect for twin charging on a 3.0 or 3.4.....

It would be a restriction to the turbo, a 3.0 is M90 territory and I'm shooting for the low 500s so on a 3.0 that is gonna be a lot of airflow. I don't need a tiny intake heater in the way.

bypass valve would allow it to not restrict. you dont want to plump a turbo straight to the super charger and try to force it through the lobes anyway

Yeah I think we talked about this before. It's a good idea in theory but you'd have to bore out the bypass on one of these (or the Toyota ones) like 3 or four times. They're only 1.15" in diameter. I dunno if there's the meat for that and that's a lot of work when compound turbos would be more efficient and easily cooled.
