Those yellow and black airbag stickers on the sun visors...is it illegal to remove them?

If you do will there be adhesive residue left on the visor?

There might be a bit of adhesive left over. @tonered used something to remove the goo, but not damage the fabric.

Depends on where you live. Enforcement of the yellow and black sticker law varies.

No not illegal...it’s there to put you on notice should you get hit in the face with one and decide to sue the manufacturer.

    Thanks!

Use a handheld steamer to remove the stickers. Both GooGone and GoofOff are okay to use with a terry cloth to remove any residue. It may take a couple tries to get it all.

Life is so good with them gone.

I do not know a way to remove the one on the visor mirror lid, but they don't bother me too much.

Ever seen Pee Wee’s big adventure? Remember Mickey who picked up PeeWee hitchhiking? He was in jail for ripping off an airbag sticker from his visor.

It'll be easier putting something over them than trying to remove them?

You can do whatever you like. However . . . you will NEVER get them off to the point that it looks like they were never there.

Big Brother made sure of that.

    Here's some pics from mine:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/visor-sticker-removal.517174/page-2#post-16403175

The camera is picking up more detail than I actually see, but I did hit the passenger side with more GooGone since then. This is what it really looks like:
    IMG_20180208_165405.jpg

It depends. With the low roof line, I think the reflection from a matte vinyl sticker would catch my eye?

Those warning labels are pretty much "hot coffee is hot" type warnings for certain people. You know to wear a seatbelt and you know that you can rollover if you turn really fast.

Yeah, its the residual adhesive that gives me pause. Would I rather look at that, or the hideous stickers.

in a related note, what about the diff lock notes on the drivers side door? i relocated mine to the drivers side visor next to the airbag warning and the "how to use 4x4" sticker.

i removed my diff lock sticker from the drivers door and it literally peeled right off cleanly. It was untouched black plastic behind it so i used some detailer and wham, you cannot even tell there was a sticker there... adds at least 5hp without the sticker there.

One person said that they permanently marred the door panel using GooGone. Other folks thought that it was sticker residue, but the OP side it was marred.

I don't have the locker, so I have no real idea.
