I do groundwater monitoring too since we have a hazardous waste landfill on our property.

I am the EHS manager for a local foundry here

Screw that. When I interned for the company that I ended up working for right out of college (environmental consulting) I had 7ish sites with anywhere from 8-20 wells and all of them had at least 2 4” recovery wells.

    Never again.

We have 7 monitoring wells that we have to bail and sample bi-annually according to the conditions of our permit. There used to be 13, but dealing with ADEM, I got them to drop 6 of them due to the downstream waterflow and them being tapped into a different aquifer than the other 7 wells.

The geological side of where to locate the wells and delineating a contamination plume was fun. Sampling not so much.

All of the sites I was referring to were trustfund sites that had to be sampled quarterly.

You still doing environmental stuff? The environmental here is not that bad really, we have lead as our main contaminant. Safety on the other hand, is what I need to focus more on here. We've just had too many accidents here lately and it's due to employees taking shortcuts. A foundry is one of the top 10 most dangerous jobs you can do here in America and taking shortcuts is just asking for a major accident to happen, if not a fatality.

Negative. I’ve been out of it for close to two years. My main role was doing environmental due diligence for real estate transactions. Focused on soil/groundwater contamination and asbestos/lead based paint inspections.

hey fellas, any of you 3rd GEN guys do the OVtune yet? seriously about to hit the buy button but have zero knowledge of doing that kind of stuff, never did anything to a truck other than put a stereo in and even then it was sketchy..not saying my truck sucks or anything but a bit more giddy up would be nice, from what all i read from the thread

yeah i just read that 5 min ago and thought the same but from what i understood was, a couple people were having issues with the intake and wasn't picked up by the dealership that he had a tune, but OV chimed in saying people without the tune have reported the same thing and it might be a manufacturer issue not a aftermarket issue

edit; throttle body not intake...just reread the comment in the thread OV made

Talked to this guy for a bit today. He built a SAS 1st gen on 60s that he might bring to Choccolocco next weekend. Cool dude, offered to give me welding I told him I was teaching myself.
