Ya know what they say... once you go black, you'll never go back. (Because the bumpershellz sticks on with 3M adhesive and you can only use it once)

It looks like you still have chrome emblems. Do you still have the chrome grill? My vote is to black it all out. Those were the first mods that I did to my truck. Not a fan of the chrome

I do not have the chrome grill, it's color matched. Planning on debadging or blacking out the emblems eventually. I also don't see a problem with the Bumpershellz using the 3m adhesive cause you could always put new adhesive pieces on it.

Nice. Wayyy more effort than it's worth IMO to remove and replace the adhesive on one of those bumper covers. I think it looks better with it on anyway. Especially with the color matched grill

Had a real not fun noise when I'd step on it for a while, finally took it to the dealership this morning. A few hours and three new (free :D) u-joints later no noises! Whoop whoop :goingcrazy::burnrubber:

Not today but the last week or so hogging the garage and wife parking in driveway(waited for half price oem parts ordered online to show and 2 days chasing around to find someone to do the axle work to press on new hubs)......differential gasket failing and bolts have been tightened and tightened some more and still she wept so pulled apart whole rr axle and replaced differential gasket (with gray RTV coating on both sides) wheel bearing/hub assemblies, axle housing seals/o-rings, new brk shoes/drums/wheel cylinders, new gear oil and bled brakes. Didn't do pinion seal since that only involves dropping the driveshaft instead of pulling axles. 200k and brake shoes were about half worn, drums didn't seem like enough left to turn so replaced those. All in all a pleasant job all things considering. Been on a few trips around the region at hwy speeds and seems all dry and wallah.......now for the front end. Even cleaned off the shock bodies for some reason.............(red jackstands not holding up truck - insurance)

I returned the cheap looking Anzo tail lights and just installed the coveted Depo brand. Much better looking and 80bucks less. Next up color match pop n lock handle and still waiting on the fiberglass eyelids to show up.20190607_163818.jpg

Prop Shaft u-joint "customer support program"

Got a letter in the mail last year saying the u-joints were covered until April 2019 or 12 years from the in-service date, which meant I was covered until January 2020, whoop whoop.

I found one in my fender liner, no idea how he got in there, his tail was sticking through the drain hole that’s how I saw it

    Bone stock for now...
Got the new (to me) truck back from Bay Ridge Toyota in Brooklyn after them having it for a week for a multi point inspection and a steering column replacement.

After screwing up the steering column replacement the first time by using a factory refurb (without my permission at full price) that was defective they screwed it up a second time in a bunch of ways. Then getting my MPI sheet back half filled out with my tires inflated past the rec specs on the side panel and my hood release dangling off... I ran out of will to bring it back a second time today so I changed the oil curbside, ditched the useless tonneau rail, and blacked out the grill to make it feel just a little like my own.
