My main concern is getting trapped by a slide/road washed out. That said, I'm still down to go, but I might be a little extra cautious as I'm still sans sliders/skids.

Ya. I'm more worried about a washout than sliders or skids. Didn't have sliders on the Taco and I don't remember hitting anything with my skid.

With no lift on the Jeep, I won't be airing down. I need all the height I can get. Fortunately it has a t case skid, but I think that's about it.

Will be bringing portable air for those that need it. Wish I had a chainsaw, but I suppose the axe will do.

Also. This is what I'm seeing right now and it really doesn't look bad. Looks like everything is moving east.

Something else. There probably won't be much traffic. My local jeep club is very strict about large group outings when there is potential for rain because of trail damage.
They are very pro tread lightly.

What size tires are you running on the Jeep? I'm running 265/75-16's and I didn't have any clearance issues while aired down the last two times I went here. I've got an axe too and can throw the chainsaw in if you think we might need it.

Less traffic is . I'm not sure there is much usually though? My last two visits I didn't see anyone else the whole time. It was weekdays though so that may have been why.

I saw two separate vehicles down at the bridge area campsites.

Saw one jeep coming up from jocassee when I was headed down.

That was on Sunday when it was nice. I would be surprised if you guys saw more than one other group especially after you turn off Chestnut.

Thinking about it now. On the way down to the lake there are a few spots where the trail had washed out down slope across trail. if it were slick you would slide off the trail sideways down hill. Trees would catch you but wouldn't be a good time.

That's only with a good rain though.

That's the scenario I was running through my head. I'm a little skittery after sliding last weekend and breaking my bumper. I can only recall one hairy spot near the lake where I wouldn't want to fall in the rut/washout

    285/70/17 stock. Km2.
I aired down a couple weeks ago at Gulches and I think it hurt me more than helped.

Drug the t case skid more than a few times.

I think you'll be more than fine with that even aired down unless you purposely take harder lines.

I"m good with 10:30. I'm a little over an hour from Gorges with no delays. Summer tourists like to get in the way though.

I'm a no go. Got an electrician coming in the morning, then headed to Eddy's later to possibly do an exhaust swap.

Not gonna decide to cut or not until the overload leaf is back in and I know for sure how much is still sticking up.
