Good point, and I know that is what you were getting at. It just feels like more of a slap in the face with the vehicle tax in my opinion, which is totally arbitrary and probably just a personal problem of mine. Honestly, I have yet to take the time and figure out which states have the lightest tax burden. Knowing my luck, probably the states I don't care to live in! Haha

Personally, I'd rather a higher sales tax, or something that collects over time. I've lived here most of my life, yet each October-ish the personal property tax is a surprise.

I’ve got some 5mm’s. Out in the field with humidity and stuff sometimes I have trouble with them tearing through legal pad paper.

York County? They charge personal property taxes for vehicles if so. I believe it's the only county in SC that does that. I want to say that it was more than here, but it's been a while since I had to pay it.

Saw this '02 in Alexandria earlier. It's been retired from Fairfax for a few years now, wish I'd gotten a picture of it. It was a TROT Buggy, so I'd bet it's probably got very low mileage on it. Whoever bought it kept the stripe and put a truck cap on it. Still in damn good shape.

    A thing or two...
All this talk of pins made me go dig out my decent pens. All but one are dried up, so I ordered some refills. I found a website (freerefill.com) where you can get 5 refills for the cost of shipping. I ordered 5 refills for the pen on the right and 5 refills that will work in the other 3 pens for under $10 shipping.

The pen on the right is the one that I carried/used for a couple years before I got paranoid about losing it and stopped. The brand name stamped in it is Bettoni. I can't find any branding on the three twist pens. I got the blue one when I bought my WRX, and the other two I got way back in high school, I think. The wooden pen has a matching mechanical pencil and case.
