Im surprised the tranny went out on you. The A750 is stout and over built for these motors. They paired them to several other toyota v8s. I was expecting you to say it was a manual, those are known to have more issues

It’s the matte green on the new Pro that I really dig. This one’s not bad though.

Gotcha, both of the 2nd gen greens have lots of metallic flake. I too like the new green, glad they brought it back, its classic toyota

I think some threads got crossed here. The Chevy tranny went. Tacoma trannys have always treated me good

I know! He wasn’t even advertising the fact. Had it for sale for months and dropped the price from 33k to 28k over time. I would have had the magazine sitting on the center console when people looked inside! Even better than saving the pic, I convinced him to hand over the magazine! It’s in between my seat and console. Here’s a couple more photos from inside.

Thanks man! I wasn’t totally sold on the grill at first cause I wanted to get a new devil horn logo from Diaz like I had on my 2000, but I wouldn’t change it now, I do really like it. It’s my trucks response to the Raptor grill

Well, the opinion of an anonymous guy on the internet, I definitely think you made the right choice keeping it. :) Just looks tough, kinda old school and new school blended just right.

I know, right! I think that was his ex. The seller was the guy in the pics with the dog. Pepper came with us to the credit union to do paperwork. I felt like I was living in a magazine momentarily.

Congrats on the purchase and glad to see you using your truck! Like others, I also dig those wheels, and have for some time. The silver seems to match well on darker vehicles. If you're looking to off-road more (and potentially get stuck), might be good to invest in a rear locker. Welcome back to Tacomas!

    Thanks!
Definitely looking into getting an ARB air locker for the rear ASAP...had a rear locker on my 2000 and it saved my ass a couple times. It was my biggest hangup with this truck, but then I read about the Sport model having a beefier rear axle than the Off-road anyway and figured it’s all good, I’ll just go aftermarket.
Any idea how tough the ARB is to install?

I'm not mechanically experienced to know how that install goes, but maybe someone else can chime in on that.

When I was looking for my current truck (2014), I really wanted the Off-Road for the locker, but never ruled out the Sports figuring I would just install the ARB air locker. When a good truck comes along, it's hard to pass it up. Like I actually wanted White for my truck color, but when I saw my Blue Tacoma (Blue Ribbon Metallic) and the condition it was in, I couldn't pass it up. You'd think finding a good condition Tacoma in Hawaii, the land of Tacomas, is easy. It's not. A lot of them are treated terribly and advertised as being in Excellent condition.
