Truck(s) will be on the dyno this weekend. Maybe we’ll see something next week

For FOB? It was a quick tune option that we were given. There has been no opportunity (perfect alignment of the stars) to get one on a dyno since then. Maybe soon.

There are also ACIS changes coming that no one has seen the dyno numbers for yet.

The beauty will be with OVT's new dyno is that modded wheels / tires won't affect the results.

You could try @RedBeard1 's trick of temporarily unplugging it? I have been meaning to try that myself. Either being lazy or out on the water.

Unplug the connector on the intake runner and manually move the flap. So, no ACIS to test. He said you'll get a CEL that you can reset after reconnecting.

thank you. have you heard any feedback from him regarding results? i believe that this is part of what i'm hoping for, but not at all complete, so wondering if it actually changes anything under 3k for the better. and wondering if there are any performance-related side effects.

Yes. But, I can't find the post.

Redbeard said that it just feels better all the time with it open.

OVT said that there is a much better RPM for it, but he didn't want to say what it was because of the work necessary to decode it and dyno it.

right, i expect it would make power under 3k more peaky and appearing inconsistent. but i also think that those peaks may be more or less fixed in their place in the rpm range. so, as a driver, it's a matter of just knowing where to go to find it. but that is already how i drive... and if you can drive a 2GR-FKS smoothly then you do, too. in other words i don't mind driving around one problem to fix another.

It has been said that the ACIS valve is the cause of the torque hole and 3,500rpm wake up. If so, I am surprised that it is that much of an effect.

Same here, I can work with issues if they are consistent.

I believe Mat said ACIS delete or disable resulted in net torque loss down low. I think you can see in his dyno sheets where in the RPM band he 're-tuned it to activate.

i understand and expect that, as it is the design for optimizing tq on average down low. but if there are peaks, and if they are wide enough to be usable, and if they are higher than other swells or the average, then i must know.

it's just an experiment. remember Mat also said similar discouraging stuff about full Otto.

Yes he did, I remember! Have you read through the OP in the dev thread lately? Like scroll way way down lol. It looks like he was able to turn the dip/spike into more of a flat plateau at a slightly lower RPM.

I didn't think that any info was posted after that intake testing dyno day? I thought that data was from the independent dyno test?

    I could be wrong.

opening ACIS too soon results in torque loss down low.

Not opening it all (like a delete) will make a huge drop in power up top.

    Mostly stuff I built.
I tried full open ACIS just for shits and giggles. Mat is correct on the down low torque loss but anything above 1800 RPM it was a sit down & shut up kind of ride. Like giving a horse it’s head on a downhill run and letting it eat. Experience may be different in an auto but the manual likes it open early. Instant CEL btw.
