20190530_215145.jpg I was happy with their service; they pulled both windoors off and replaced the foam gaskets with thicker rubber ones. The factory gaskets had slipped out of place and that caused leaks. I'm glad they worked on it even after I "voided the warranty" by drilling holes and installing the rack. I only had a 4 hr drive from WI (8 r/t).

Got a Snugtop Rebel for my short bed last weekend. When I picked it up I discovered deep scratches in the paint. Dealer is sending a mobile touch up to fix that. It looks great on the truck, got a compliment from the neighbor. But the more I look at this thing the more that is off about it:. Discovered new chips in the paint on top, front window may be off center in the fiberglass shell by about 1/8" to 1/4", one side of the fiberglass near front corner might have a slightly different shape, the plastic rear brake light cover wasn't placed well, and the biggest irk is that if you look closely the rear glass door slopes from far right to far left with the one side maybe 0.2" higher than the other. I'm an engineer so I get it I can get nitpicky but when you pay this much for something I at least expect a little more care with how something is assembled. I thought I could take it back but maybe I'll just get something worse in the end. Sounds like these topper mfrers (as could be expected) are just sloppy. It's obvious my snugtop was just slapped together and shipped as quickly as possible. I'll probably give it more time before I do anything about it partially because I'm looking at it more as a tool than anything else and most of the quirks aren't immediately obvious.

Edit:. What makes the rear glass irritating is that the.plastic cover at the bottom was also not attached square so it extends almost a half inch more down the closed tailgate than the other side. Just sloppy.

Fortunately this all appears to be cosmetic so far. Once monsoon season starts in AZ I'll have a better idea on whether it's gonna leak. As long as I have no leaks at the windows or anywhere else aside from at the truck bed I'll be ok but might try another mfrer if I ever buy another one.

Second edit after having the shell for 3 months. A lot of the alignment issues I have are with the actual truck bed not being on straight. So I loosened the six bolts in the bed and pushed it into place. Now it looks a lot better. My shell did come with some cosmetic issues but the windows don't leak and only a little water comes in at the tailgate and front of the bed in heavy rain which is ok with me. I'm sure I could improve it with sealant. I think the lines on the snugtop rebel match up with those elsewhere on the 3rd gen better than the other brands. Just inspect it closely upon delivery. I'm happy with my purchase.

Don’t expect O.E.M. quality like your truck. You would think for the money you spend, fit and finish would be on par with the vehicle it goes on.

I don't know that I expect oem quality but seeing holes that were obviously drilled carelessly for the rear glass mount on one side is a little much.

I feel your frustration, I spent 3 G,s plus and felt there was a lot of sloppy workmanship.

Anyone know if the SnugPro commercial truck caps are any better quality-wise?

Anyone know how far forwards the snug top should be pushed towards the cab? I went off-roading and it shifted. Now that I want to adjust I don’t remember how close the installer originally placed it and if it should be touching the bed rails?

A good gauge is how the back lift gate closes on the tailgate.
